Sharp Imagery 2k15 Wrapup
Two Thousand and Fifteen.
I wasn’t going to do a summary of this year. It wasn’t until I sat back and thought about what I had accomplished, and the adventures I’d been on that I realised that I’d actually been quite busy!
Let’s start from back in January, with potentially the trip of a lifetime.
Thanks to my work, in addition with other contributors in Downshift Australia, I was afforded the opportunity to travel to Japan. This was all made possible by Toyota Australia, in conjunction with the promotion of the Toyota 86.
It was on this trip, that childhood dreams came true. Being allowed into the TRD warehouse, amongst a field of motorsport unicorns all in their own rights, sat the King. At least for me as a child, memories of Gran Turismo 2 rising to the surface.
The TOM’s Supra.
The biggest day of the tour was definitely Tokyo Autosalon. If TAS isn’t on your bucket list, add it immediately.
Japan is a different creature to anywhere else I’ve experienced. In terms of automotive pleasure, this has to be the height.
2015 was a busy year for me. Not only travel and automotive photography, but real estate and events as well.
I expanded Sharp Imagery to allow for Videography to make an entrance.
Starting with Real Estate, I incorporated the very talented Anthony Nguyen into Sharp Imagery, and his work is amazing.
Learnt a lot of things this year for Real Estate. Stuff lined up for 2k16 as well, so stay tuned!
Another thing that I really loved doing this year was regular contributions to automotive magazines Fast Fours and Hot 4s. Gives me great pleasure to see people’s pride and joy hit the printed page after pouring their blood sweat and tears into their rides.
Cars aside for a second. This year I really wanted to push my skillsets. Under the guidance of my good friend and colleague James Dean, I took my shot at photographing people and products. I really loved doing it, and can’t wait to try more next year.

Talking about being thrown in the deep end. In April I had a phone call from a very good friend, desperately needing hands on deck in New Zealand (yes. dEck), to help video a DVD for Freeriding NZ.
What a challenge! I jumped at the opportunity, and not only did our team of friends and family nail the video, but I got to experience some of the most amazing Autumn Countryside the South island of NZ has to offer.
Back to Australia and it was straight back into feature cars and events. One that I had to jump on immediately was when one of the Holy Trinity Hypercars hit Australian shores.
I was confined to the Porsche Brisbane dealership, so it wasn’t quite Easton Chang’s Outback Adventures (checkit here), but it was something I couldn’t miss.
A lot of my clients are owners of high end cars, and with the release of the Huracan, I’ve been lucky enough to shoot a few.
Blue Chrome Huracan on PUR Wheels, FiE Exhaust, and now lowered.
Verde Mantis Huracan.
Then once fitted with a full DMC Bodykit and Akrapovic Exhaust.
All this led up to one amazing event for 2015.
Australia’s premiere super car event; Bullrush Rally
With a collection of Australia’s hottest cars, driving the best roads from Gold Coast to Melbourne over 5 days, it was truly an epic adventure. Make sure you check out their website and socials!
Once back to reality, I connected with some new fantastic clients, Mitchell Ogilvie Menswear and The Hour Glass.
It was an absolute pleasure to shoot events for these luxury, local brands.
Winding down for 2015, I took a break from shooting to business and had a holiday in the US. Of course I took my camera, but I had the time to take photos for me.
New York.
Hawaii.
For me, my passion always has been cars.
As we wrap up 2015, please enjoy the pictures of these cars, that I thoroughly enjoyed shooting.
Bagged XF Jaguar.
Jason’s Evo.
Most of the cars I shoot are high end, or modified. So it was a challenge, but enjoyable to shoot this stock WRX CS10 Edition.
Through Downshift, we were able to get the opportunity to drive and review the Tesla P85+.
Jaguar XK-S.
Fun with a C63 Black.
My good friend, Jay purchased a Clownshoe BMW, and friend and detailer extraordinaire, Zach the Car Spa set to work on it.
I loved shooting it.
James’ MPS 3 before he sold it.
1970 Corvette Stingray LTI.
Two very nice Toyota Supras.
Finally, wrapping up 2015 was a private Ferrari Track Day, as well as the annual World Time Attack Challenge.
It’s certainly been a busy year, and one that I’ve enjoyed immensely.
There’s big things already planned for 2016, so stay tuned, I can’t wait to share it with you!
