C63 – AMG
I first met Jay, the owner of this unique 2009 C63 AMG at a Downshift meet as he was leaving. Going over and giving him a quick thanks for bringing such a rad car to one of the events has led to me getting the opportunity to photograph this monster V8.
Back in the day this special AMG used to be fully murdered out. Factory black paint, limo tint, tinted lights, and with the same Forgestar wheels fitted, it had the plates DTH V8R, which you may still see cruising the streets on his Mclaren MP4-12C.
Nowadays, adorning the lines of the C63 is an Avery Brilliant Blue Matte Metallic wrap, expertly installed by Stephen and Justin down at Exclusive Wraps.
With Exclusive Wraps also getting their hands on interior accents, a ‘carbon fibre’ wrapped surface make a stylish but tough addition to the business area of the car.
Not content with the standard, yet already impressive power output, Jay sent the car off to BPS to have a custom tune installed, resulting in an impressive 303kw at the wheels.
Fitting snug over the monster factory AMG brakes are some 18 inch Forgestar F14 wheels wrapped in Hankook tyres.
Out of all the additions to Jay’s car, certainly the most impressive is the full headers back bimodal iPE Exhaust system. On quiet mode, you can easily ‘putt around’ without annoying the locals. However, when breathing free it’s as if the Gods themselves are raining down Armageddon upon the ears of the worthy.
