Louis XIII Luxury Network Event
What do Club Suntory, Mitchell Ogilvie, Euromarque and Dello Mano have in common?
They are the upon the highest level of luxury, class, style and taste in their games, and they were all at Electronic Living for another Luxury Network evening.
Walking in through the front sliding doors of Electronic Living you are always greeted by immediate opulence. Under red lights for the evening below the luxurious entrance chandelier was Suntory’s finest wares and the hero product of the evening. Louis XIII Cognac.
Wherever you looked there were displays of the finest Cognac in the world.
At $3,500 per 700ml bottle, it was important to have them presented just as finely. Even the displays were top class.
Next in order of appearance was Mitchell Ogilvie. A welcome regular to the Luxury Network events, this evening they were showcasing their incredibly suave Canali wares.
Moving through into the bar and kitchen area created by the incredibly talented Sublime Cabinet Designs, the staff were setting up for a busy evening.
As I was taking into account everything going on in setup I heard a soft growl approach from outside. Euromarque had arrived.
Sporting two Maseratis, a Quattroporte and a Granturismo these are easily up there with some of my favourite cars. Having been in a Granturismo before, they are a combination of class, function, beauty and that sound is to DIE for!
The Maserati interior is always on point with leather and carbon fibre pairing off to form a beautiful end result.
Heading back inside it was a pleasure admiring Electronic Living’s home entertainment setups including their hidden inbuilt wall speakers, TVs, and of course home theatre system.
Before long we were called into the ‘party room’ for the much anticipated tasting of the Louis XIII.
The tables were set.
Club Suntory Ambassador Mark Hickey was on hand to walk us through this occasion.
The fleur de lis stopper is removed from the crystal Louis bottle. Served in Baccarat Crystal glasses, The first encounter with Louis XIII is one of sight. By letting the light filter through the crystal, it reveals its mahogany colour. Then, the sense of smell comes into play. The first nose of Louis XIII is incredibly rich, combining floral aromas with spicy fragrances.
Jasmine is a dominant note, highlighting the saffron. It is then followed by the five Chinese spices, punctuated by the scents of Havana.
The second nose blends the perfumes of flowers and exotic fruit more precisely. Once the fragrances of jasmine and saffron have taken hold of our nose, we are already in the rich and harmonious world of Louis XIII.
We next find ourselves being drawn into the nuances of dried fruit and the ambiance of frankincense…
…Then comes the moment of discovery on the palate. The first drop of Louis XIII will infuse the whole mouth, giving life to subtle tonalities of fig and sandalwood. On “savouring” the subsequent mouthful, infinite flavours are revealed as we discover the softness and roundness of the eau-de-vie…
*eau-de-vie… – French for ‘Water of Life”
Mark then took us on a journey through Louis XIII and Cognac itself. Exclusivity is proven not only by its history, elegance and presentation, but its price.

Post tasting, Damian, Director of Electronic Living said a few words, thanking all guests and vendors.
There was a raffle where Mitchell Ogilvie gave away a fantastic prize, a $295 fitted shirt. I didn’t win so with thoughts of requesting a redraw running through my mind, I went to see what other activities were taking place.
Bien Peralta from Dello Mano was presenting his mouth-watering chocolate treats. The brownies on hand were simply devine.
Heading back out into the bar area I was able to check out the other thirst quenching products being served.
From here it was truly all about socialising and networking. Fantastic conversation and laughter created a fun ambience.
The staff were literally run off their feet.
Bien from Dello Mano, Aung from Mitchell Ogilvie and Meg Dahiya from The Luxury Network.
Aung and Foo from Mitchell Ogilvie.
Thank you very much to Damian, Brad and Anissa from Electronic Living for having me along to cover these amazing events, it is always truly a pleasure.
